KÖRLEVÉL A SZAKSZERVEZETI TANÁCS TITKÁRI ÉRTEKEZLETÉRŐL
1945. augusztus 11-én megtartott titkári értekezlet
A hét legfontosabb eseménye a Szovjetunió hadüzenete volt Japánnak. A szakszervezeti értekezleteken is ki kell hangsúlyozni. Itt beigazolódott a közmondás: Ha akarsz békét, csinálj háborút. Háborút indítottak, hogy békét teremtsenek. A hadüzenet után 48 órával befejeződött a japán háború. A japán kapitulációnak nem az atombomba volt az előzménye. Nekünk feltétlenül fontos kihangsúlyozni, hogy az a nép, mely Európát felszabadította a német fasiszta iga alól, ennek a népnek önfeláldozása és tetterős akarata hozta meg a békét a világ másik részében is.
(mondjuk ezt az általam ismert japán források nem így látják)
Ebből az is látszódik, hogy részemről a hét legfontosabb eseménye, hogy szert tettem mintegy 400 oldalnyi SZOT-dokumentumra.

A japán fémmunkások (szak)szervezetének petíciója 1900-ból.
All the Company's workers, including we humble workers, do sincerely feel that deep gratitude for the many life-sustaining benefits the company has bestowed upon its workers must be expressed. However, pressed by circumstances, we open our hearts on the following points, and wonder if we might not wish for them:
- That all workers be treated fairly and impartially
- That a training school for young workers be set up
- That better treatment be given to the workers
- That hourly pay be reformed to daily pay
- That public holidays be observed at the workshops
- That company housing be given to the workers (...).
We humbly point out that it would be most fortunate if the company would, on the basis of its consideration of the situation, judge the above points, and if it accepts them, implement them with haste.
