Bully Mamas
Ezt a blogot akkor találtam, amikor egy könyvről (Call me Okaasan) akartam többet megtudni. A szerzőnő Osakában él, japán férjjel és két gyerekkel. Úgy tűnik, még sok mindenről nem tudok, amivel egy "Gaijin Mama"-nak szembe kell néznie, pl a Bully Mamas, ami a férjemnek tök természetes. Kicsit az is hátborzongató, amit az iskolákról ír, ezen majdnem sikerült összevesznünk vacsoránál, de végül is még messze van, majd ráérünk néhány év múlve összeveszni rajta.

Hát ez valami pazar: "exclusive bands of mothers", szerintem Bandika szemébe is örömkönnyeket fog csalni.
Istenem, min vitatkoztatok az iskolán? Valami ilyen jellegű dolog volt esetleg?(lopok az ajánlott blogról):
"My daughter started coughing a few days ago, which led all the mothers and teachers to urge me to take her to the hospital right away. I did take her to a pediatrician, who prescribed antibiotics (!) among other things, but the mothers told me I should get more and stronger medicine because what if she gets worse and can’t make it to the culture festival????? I suggested that she take a couple days off of school if they were so worried about her. They thought I was out of my mind."
Nekem ez elég rémisztő, Ei szerint ez felelősségteljes: "I know that teachers, my husband included, often visit students’ homes, but it’s still a bit disconcerting to have people drop by when the house is a mess. I guess Japanese women are obsessive about housework for just this reason. Anyway, I let her speak with Jio privately for awhile. I wasn’t eavesdropping or anything, but I overheard her say “At school, I’m your mother.” Uh, no. I don’t think so. I’m the Mommy ALL THE TIME."
